"A presentation of Nora Amin's most recent book "Migrating the Feminine"  (Weiblichkeit im Aufbruch) where she discusses the transgressions of the female physicality in public sphere, and emphasises the relation between the female body as a property in the patriarchal system across cultures, and violation as a political tool across time.

A re-visit to the universal tradition of discrimination and supremacy, homeland and foreignness, regime and patriarchy. The German edition is translated by Max Henninger and published by MSB Matthes & Seitz Verlag.”

An evening with Nora Amin and Adham El Said. A 90 minutes event of reading, singing and discussion.

Adham El Said Inspired by his grandmother's renditions of songs from the villages in Upper Egypt, and his uncle who engaged him in the country's oral traditions, Adham brings the traditional oriental sense counterbalancing the dominant western influence. He is a singer and founding member of Egypt's most popular music band "Wust Elbalad", a contributor to many works in theatre, film and television, and above all a unique performer of "Mawal". Recently, Adham participated in "Earthport" (Egyptian-German human specific performance) besides several other projects in music and acting in Berlin.
