Vita

I am an author and educator with more than 15 years of experience in the educational, cultural, and artistic realms. I completed my Ph.D. at Columbia University in 2007, and between 2007 and 2011 I was assistant professor of Contemporary Poetry at Yale University’s Spanish and Portuguese department. Within the academic field of Literature/Poetry, I have authored several books and articles on Poetry Theory and Criticism, and I am responsible for the most recent and comprehensive Spanish translation of Thoreau’s Journal (2014). In the spring of 2013, I moved to Berlin as a second base for my academic, artistic and cultural management work. In Berlin, I taught regular seminars on “Ethics, Politics, and Performativity of the Arts” at Potsdam University. Also in Germany's capital, I founded in 2015 'The Voice Observatory', a laboratory of investigation funded by Berlin’s Senate, which offers regular seminars, workshops and performances related to the voice in its acoustic, communicative, performative, and socio-political dimensions. In January 2016, I decided to create my own company and School, launching and testing different courses and initiatives while crafting the Schools' team. During the Spring of 2017, the Nomadic School of the Senses (NoSoS), will launch its official program & set of services.
