Launch of a new essay collection edited by Anton Shekhovtsov, published by ibidem-Verlag in the book series “Soviet and Post-Soviet Politics and Society” (vol. 309), and distributed by Columbia University Press.
This event presents and discusses Russia against Ukraine, a multi-author study of the ideological, political, and cultural roots of Russia’s war. The book shows how Russian elites have fostered anti-Ukrainian narratives through propaganda, education, diplomacy, and historical revisionism, making the destruction of Ukrainian statehood and identity central to Putin’s project.
