BOOK TASTING Südafrika - Literatur, Wein und panafrikanische Kulinarik
Literatur ist nie bloß Text auf Papier und Wein nie bloß ein Getränk im Glas. Beides erzählt Geschichten, weckt Gefühle und Erinnerungen und schaut auf den Menschen dahinter.
Wir laden ein, südafrikanische Weinkultur mit prägenden literarischen Stimmen des Landes kennenzulernen und zu verbinden. Zu jedem ausgewählten Wein stellen wir ein Werk vor, dessen Tonalität, Struktur und Charakteristik mit jenen des Glases korrespondieren.
Eine Begegnung, die Verstand und Sinne gleichermaßen anspricht und den Bogen schlägt zwischen körperlichem Genuss und intellektueller Tiefe.
Begleitet wird der Abend von panafrikanischem Fingerfood, kreiert von Küchenchef Sibusiso Mntambo, der traditionelle Geschmackswelten mit moderner Raffinesse verbindet.

BOOK TASTING South Africa – Literature, Wine and Pan-African Cuisine
Literature is never merely text on paper, and wine is never merely a drink in a glass. Both tell stories, stir emotions and memories, and shed light on the people behind them.
We invite you to discover and explore South African wine culture alongside the country’s most influential literary voices. For each selected wine, we will present a work whose tone, structure and characteristics correspond to those of the wine in the glass.
An experience that appeals to both the mind and the senses, bridging the gap between physical pleasure and intellectual depth.
The evening will be accompanied by pan-African finger food, created by head chef Sibusiso Mntambo, who blends traditional flavours with modern sophistication.
