OPEN Späti is a literary collective that understands public space as a polyphonic text surface and stages Spätis as places of permeability—economically, socially, and linguistically.
The collective was founded in 2024 by Sonja Azizaj, Magdalena Filkova, and Katarina Gotic Damiani. The first interventions, featuring poetry submissions, took place in the summer of 2024 in collaboration with two Berlin Spätis.
Our practice begins where the aesthetics of consumption meet everyday poetry. Situated between research and fiction, the “Open Späti” serves as an image-metaphor for an open archive of stories, daily life, and neighbourhood fantasies—displayed in a wide shop window.
Our current program deepens these questions—with new voices, locations, and a growing LED topography of multilingualism.
OPEN Späti ist ein literarisches Kollektiv, das den öffentlichen Raum als vielstimmige Textfläche begreift und Spätis als Orte der Durchlässigkeit – ökonomisch, sozial, sprachlich – inszeniert.

In unserer Praxis setzen wir dort an, wo Konsumästhetik auf Alltagslyrik trifft. Zwischen Forschung und Fiktion versteht sich der „Offene Späti“ als Bildmetapher für ein offenes Archiv von Geschichten, Alltag und Fantasien aus der Nachbarschaft, das in einem breiten Schaufenster zur Schau gestellt wird.
