Ian Orti ist der Autor von Syringa aus dem Jahr 2024. Er ist außerdem Autor der preisgekrönten Bücher The Olive and the Dawn, L (and things come apart) und der Geschichtensammlung Royal Mountain City Fugue. Seine Kurzgeschichten und Gedichte wurden in Zeitschriften in Nordamerika und Europa veröffentlicht, und sein erstes Buch wurde von Les Editions Allusifs ins Französische übersetzt. Er war in der Dokumentarserie Big Small des australischen Regisseurs Tim Kelly für das Musikfestival Pop Montreal zu sehen und ist ehemaliger Kolumnist für McSweeney's in den USA und Matrix Magazine in Kanada. Seit 2011 lebt er in Berlin. Er hat mehrere Preise in den Bereichen Belletristik und Werbung gewonnen.

There's a tiny little bar called Die Bar in berlin. Before I knew anything about German I pronounced it as it appears in English. I rarely go anymore, but it's a haven. Other than that, find yourself your own little piece of water - a spot by the lake, river, or canal.
